Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 58

This morning, I note two warnings the Lord gave to Martin Harris and W.W. Phelps, respectively -

"...let him repent of his sins, for he seeketh the praise of the world."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 58:39)

And -

"...I, the Lord, am not well pleased with him, for he seeketh to excel, and he is not sufficiently meek before me."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 58:41)

I should listen to this counsel and I like the scriptures unto myself.
