Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 53

As Sidney Gilbert is counseled in teaching the Savior's doctrine or first principles and ordinances of the gospel including being ordained to the office of Elder, the Lord follows -

"Behold, these are the first ordinances which you shall receive; and the residue shall be made known in a time to come, according to your labor in my vineyard."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 53:6)

With that, the Lord adds -

"And again, I would that ye should learn that he only is saved who endureth unto the end..."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 53:7)

In my mind, the hint that there are more ordinances and covenants would be considered "enduring to the end".
