Isaiah 49
Isaiah prophecied -
"...In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people..." (Old Testament | Isaiah 49:8)
In my mind "a day of salvation" is a day that we make covenants or become a covenant person. A day of salvation could be a Sunday sacrament meeting. But I seem to think that "a day of salvation" is when we attend the temple for the Lord continued -
"That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves." (Old Testament | Isaiah 49:9)
The freeing of prisoners from the prison house takes place in the temple as Isaiah wrote for -
"...They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places." (Old Testament | Isaiah 49:9)
The mountain or the mountain of the Lord's House is this high place and thus -
"They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted." (Old Testament | Isaiah 49:10 - 11)
I believe that all roads or "highways" lead to the Lord's house.
I have commented previously that my thoughts are when Isaiah refers to the mountain, he is referring to the temple.
