D&C 61

My blog this morning is nothing spiritual.  I learned something new.  As I read the Section 61 of the Doctrine and Covenants, the Lord said -

"...now, concerning my servants, Sidney Rigdon, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Oliver Cowdery, let them come not again upon the waters, save it be upon the canal, while journeying unto their homes..."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 61:23)

To be honest, I had no idea of what canal He was referring to until I googled Ohio canals and learned of the Ohio-Erie Canal that connected lake Erie and the Ohio River...I never new that.
