3 Nephi 14
After
teaching His doctrine and gospel, the Savior commanded –
“Enter ye in at
the strait gate…” (Book of Mormon | 3
Nephi 14:13)
Adding –
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 14:14)
After describing those that choose their own gate and way, the Savior warns –
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them: I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 14:21 - 23)
The Prophet Joseph Smith translated the New Testament to “ye never knew me”.
