Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. 3 Nephi 13


The Savior taught in the Americas –

 “…when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen, for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.’  (Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 13:7)

I don’t believe the Savior is saying that we do not repeat much in our prayers.  Many of those things are our sincere desires.  I believe vain means emptiness, no thought of meaning or generousness.
