Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 76

Just a note.  I've haven't written for several days because I was sick and unable to excercises.

As the Prophet Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon worked on the translation and correction of the Bible, he comments that -

"...this caused us to marvel, for it was given unto us of the Spirit.
19 And while we meditated upon these things, the Lord touched the eyes of our understandings and they were opened..."  (Doctrine and Covenants 76:18–19)

In my mind, the Prophet's description "marvel" suggested that this created questions. It is important to realize that the Spirit can stir our thoughts in terms of questioning.   Which can lead to understanding the mysteries of God.
