Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 14

Something that caught my attention this morning were the word of the Lord to David Whitmer -

"...behold, thou art David, and thou art called to assist; which thing if ye do, and are faithful, ye shall be blessed both spiritually and temporally, and great shall be your reward."  (Doctrine and Covenants 14:11)

It was the instruction the David was "called to assist".  Not everyone can be a "president".  One's mission in life may be to "assist" in the work.
