Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. PofGP 5

After having been driven fro the Garden, the Lord -

"...gave unto them commandments, that they should worship the Lord their God, and should offer the firstlings of their flocks, for an offering unto the Lord.  And Adam was obedient unto the commandments of the Lord."  (Pearl of Great Price | Moses 5:5)

We learn later that Adam and Eve had no idea why they were given these commandments only in that they obeyed for -

"...after many days an angel of the Lord appeared unto Adam, saying: Why dost thou offer sacrifices unto the Lord?  And Adam said unto him: I know not, save the Lord commanded me."  (Pearl of Great Price | Moses 5:6)

The process is clear, we obey by faith before we receive knowledge or understanding.
