D&C 130

I believe one of the greater and profound doctrines or truths that come for the mouth of the Prophet Joseph Smith is -

"...that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory, which glory we do not now enjoy."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 130:2)

In my mind, sociality would be the relationships we presently have as families, extended families, and with friends.  But these relationships and the joy we receive from such relationships will be much greater with eternal glory.  The Lord taught -

"...I will give unto you a pattern in all things, that ye may not be deceived..."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 52:14)

I believe much of the relationships of this life follows much of the same from eternity, to eternity.  In my mind, this will include families, parents and children, even grandparents and so forth.
