D&C 35

I had a couple of thoughts this morning.  As the Lord instructed Orson Pratt in his duty, he said -

"...verily, I say unto you, the time is soon at hand that I shall come in a cloud with power and great glory."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 34:7)

Again, as we find in Exodus and in other scripture that we Lord even comes or leaves in a "cloud" of power an glory.  In a revelation on the priesthood the Lord provided some definition for this cloud saying -

"...this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it, which cloud shall be even the glory of the Lord, which shall fill the house."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 84:5)

This cloud then is "even the glory of the Lord".  I would guess that the visual description of cloud would describe His glory.  In my mind, this cloud of glory is so glorious that it covers His person.

The second thought came in a revelation to Sidney Rigdon where he was told -

"Thou art blessed, for thou shalt do great things. Behold thou wast sent forth, even as John, to prepare the way before me, and before Elijah which should come, and thou knewest it not."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 35:4)

With Sidney Rigdon, we learn that many of us could be preparing the way for others and great events where we have no idea that is so.  It is His work and we are instruments in His hands if we choose to follow Him and keep His commandments.
