Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. "For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost..." 1 Nephi 10:19

Mark 12

In answering a question from the Sadducees, the Savior declares this truth -

"...Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven."  (Mark 12:24–25)

It appears that the covenant of  "eternal marriage" must be performed in this life or estate, whether in person or by proxy, before the resurrection.  Where after all are resurrected there will be know left from this life to perform the ordinance.

With this logic would suggest that the Savior must have been married for time and all eternity during His life.
