Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. Matthew 23

The Savior said over and over -

"...woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!"  (Matthew 23:13)

In my mind, as He talks of how they are hypocrites...it is basically that they know better and give in to temptations of pride, materialism, and immorality -

"...and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith..."  (Matthew 23:23)

For -

"...whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."  (Matthew 23:12)
