Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 109

As we consider -

"...the power of Christ unto salvation"  (Book of Mormon | Alma 15:6)

...the Prophet Joseph Smith by revelation in the dedicatory prayer of the Kirtland Temple said -

"...that all people who shall enter upon the threshold of the Lord's house may feel thy power..."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 109:13)

And -

"...that thy servants may go forth from this house armed with thy power..."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 109:22)

I believe that power or power of the atonement helps us to overcome the world or be justified, being reconciled or in line with godliness, for -

"...in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest."  (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 84:20)
