John 1

 John taught - 

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name..."  (John 1:12)

Though it reads much the same, Joseph Smith corrected - 

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God; only to them who believe on his name.  (JST John 1:12)

To me, the doctrine "gave he power to become the sons of God" or to Himself is important.  It is by His power that we may become like Him.
