Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 48

 As the saints wonder if Ohio was the New Jerusalem prophesied and whether to set up permanent roots, it is apparent to me that it was only temporary as He reveals - 

"It is necessary that ye should remain for the present time in your places of abode, as it shall be suitable to your circumstances."  (Doctrine and Covenants 48:1)

"...for it must needs be necessary that they have places to live for the present time."  (Doctrine and Covenants 48:3)

For - 

"The place is not yet to be revealed; but after your brethren come from the east there are to be certain men appointed, and to them it shall be given to know the place, or to them it shall be revealed."  (Doctrine and Covenants 48:5)
