Hebrews 10

As Paul teaches the difference between the Old Testament or covenant and the New Testament or covenant, and the difference between the sacrifice of animals and the sacrifice and atonement of Jesus Christ, he mentioned a little thought that touched me -

"Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law..."  (Hebrews 10:8)

Which suggests to me the our Father in Heaven does not find pleasure in the sacrifice of animals, but does rejoice in obedience looking forward to the Infinite Atonement.
