Acts 27
As a prisoner, it is amazing the influence Paul had with all the Romans and voyager as they headed to Rome. At the point when the sailors feared for their lives they lowered the lifeboats. It is then that -
"Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off." (Acts 27:31–32)
Obviously they had great faith in Paul to be willing to cut the lifeboat ropes and follow his instructions.
