John 17
The evening before His crucifixion, the Savior called His apostles -
"Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." (John 15:14–15)
But a short time later on the Mount of Olives, He prays -
"As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:2–3)
Then -
"...Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are." (John 17:11)
Though it is not necessarily said, I sense the Lord has moved from friends to family having "eternal life".
