Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. Mark 14

As the Savior and His apostles went our to the mount of Olives, the Savior said -

"...All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered."  (Mark 14:27)

Of course, Peter responded -

"...Although all shall be offended, yet will not I." (Mark 14:29)

And as we know, he did so thrice.  I was touched by David J. Ridges

"...Perhaps Peter’s example here can be a lesson to us. We think we are strong in the gospel and claim to be willing to live it at all costs. Yet, sometimes we falter and give in to temptation which disappoints us and makes us all the more determined to be stronger in the faith"  (Ridges, David J.. The New Testament Made Easier".
