Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. D&C 115

Several years ago, Terri and I visited some historical sites in the Missouri area.  First, I was very surprised and the cold, dark feeling I felt in Independence (other than the visitor center).  But what surprised me was the powerful warm and special feeling I experienced when we dropped by Far West.  This morning I read the word of the Lord on this area -

"Let the city, Far West, be a holy and consecrated land unto me; and it shall be called most holy, for the ground upon which thou standest is holy."  (Doctrine and Covenants 115:7)

That is what I found.
