Jesus the Christ - 6

 After Ezra and Nehemiah's efforts to move Judah back to the written law and the prophets, what emerged were self-perpetuated scholars who became known as scribes and rabbis who attempted to interpret laws with more rules.  The Savior in his mortal ministry declared - 

"But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ."

Adding - 

"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!"
