Scripture Blog

This weblog is my personal online scripture journal. I try to read the scriptures each morning as I exercise on my cross-trainer. It has a great impact on my life and my testimony of the Savior and his restored church. The journal is really for my own benefit but I have set it up as a web log in hopes to benefit anyone else that may be interested. Nahum 1

 Nahum explains the Lord's relationship with justice writing - 

"God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies."  (Nahum 1:2)

Yet at the same time - 

"The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked..."  (Nahum 1:3)

For - 

"The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
(Nahum 1:7)

The Lord desires mercy.
