We often talk about the philosophies of men mingled with scripture which suggests that Satan may use truth mingled with falsehoods to deceive. We see this in the Garden as Satan said to Eve if she would partake of the forbidden fruit -
"...Ye shall not surely die;
11 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." (Moses 4:10–11)
The lie being "ye shall not surely die". That is a lie
